EndoFlip
In many cases, an EGD alone is not enough to diagnose dysphagia, difficulty swallowing. The Endoflip™ impedance planimetry system simplifies your path to diagnosis when you are struggling with problems swallowing. Endoflip is a minimally invasive endoscopic tool that helps identify motility disorders by providing real-time pressure and dimension measurements in the esophagus.
How is EndoFlip performed?
EndoFlip is performed during your EGD, endoscopy. During your endoscopy, fluid is passed through a catheter to inflate a cylinder-shaped balloon that contains specialized sensors. This procedure is performed in 10-15 minutes. Dr. Carlton will evaluate your readings and review the findings with you at your post-operative visit.
